With hundreds of new exhibitors, over 200 brand new products & services and two wholly new complementary events under the same roof, this year's Cloud Expo Europe looks set to outshine all the previous shows. Cloud Hosting magazine finds out more

You may remember that our last issue included a brief interview with Thomas Standley of CloserStill Media, the events company behind the hugely successful Cloud Expo Europe. In that piece we asked him what he and his team were most excited about for the 2016 event. His response? "The sheer size of the show and conference programmes - when we acquired the show in 2011, it had around 30 exhibitors and under 750 attendees, seeing it grow to this size and deliver real ROIs for exhibitors and delegates makes me very proud. Technology professionals recognise that they can build their own virtual programme of educational content, with over 600 speakers in 29 theatres, and take ideas back to their organisation to put into practice."

The show is now on track for a record breaking year, with over 600 exhibitors covering the entire Cloud ecosystem. The conference has something for all - topics range from data centre storage innovations, to DevOps tools, through to the Internet of Things. Speakers represent key industry verticals and big brands like Sainsbury's, AstraZeneca, Diageo, Deloitte, Visa, Ebuyer and GE Capital.

In this in-depth preview, we can take you into the nuts and bolts of this enormous trade event, and hopefully help potential attendees to decide how best to spend their time: the scale of this year's show is such that it is very easy to feel spoiled for choice.

This new event and central feature provides insight into emerging tools and techniques from the DevOps, containers and software architecture space. Content and presentations will focus on the methodologies and technologies needed to develop killer enterprise class applications and architectures.

Speakers include leading software architects, DevOps and container experts, sharing their expertise, perspectives, insight and knowledge, presenting case studies and future forward concepts.

In addition the 2016 show will see a further enhanced Open Source Cloud focus. Open Source offers enterprises and service providers a simpler and more cost effect mechanism towards interoperability - it is no longer a geek's nirvana, as more and more enterprises rely on Open Source platforms and infrastructures to run their daily businesses, where it helps them reduce costs and move faster.

For the first time ever, Data Centre World will be housing its very own data centre onsite during the exhibition. This is the first time any data centre event in the world has showcased products and solutions in such an innovative and interactive surrounding, allowing visitors to get hands on with the latest data centre tech.

Data Centre World has joined forces with Dunwoody, a leading build and design consultancy, to produce an effective and efficient running data centre, right in the heart of Data Centre World. Over the 2 days delegates will have the exclusive opportunity to walk through what makes a successful data centre. From flooring to generators, racks to perimeter fencing, Data Centre World will guide visitors through the puzzle of products which complete the data centre jigsaw.

With 30 Data Centre World exhibitors showcasing the latest products and solutions the DCW Green Data Centre is a must see feature which you cannot afford to miss.

CIF is committed to ensure trust, transparency and confidence in the delivery of Cloud Services to business users. CIF's members and leading industry speakers will be debating key issues impacting the development of the industry and share best practice strategies for both service providers and enterprises. The CIF programme for Cloud Expo includes Case Studies from CIF certified providers, demonstrating how CSPs ensure they are accountable to their customers.
